About

Welcome to the Finch Suite at @PerchAVL! Ideal for families and friends; comfort and artistry collide in this newly constructed loft within walking distance of downtown Asheville, NC. At The Perch, Asheville’s famous murals don’t stop on the street—your suite is packed with pops of color and around the property you’ll see hand-painted murals and paintings from Wyatt Grant. Warm Evenings can be spent on the rooftop deck boasting city views, a firepit, gas grills, and ample seating for cookouts.

Good to know

The Perch is located steps away from a paved 3.8-mile walking path, the Reed Creek Greenway, a quiet trail surrounded by trees and natural flora. The Greenway spans from near downtown through UNC Asheville’s campus, ending in Weaver Park. Tucked to the side of the trail near campus, you’ll find the entrance to the Asheville Botanical Gardens, where nature trails run alongside Reed Creek. At just over 1,000 square feet on the second floor, the Finch Suite’s (#220) spacious open floorplan is flooded with natural light from our floor-to-ceiling windows. With king beds in both bedrooms and two full baths, we can luxuriously accommodate 4 guests—you will feel pampered! The comfortable living room sectional faces a flat-screen TV—bring your streaming logins, kick back, and relax. If you’re looking for some family activities, in the console under the TV you’ll find a variety of great family-friendly games, including Wingspan, Skull, Uno, and a deck of playing cards. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, silverware, plates, and all the other items you need to make a home-cooked meal. Our spice rack covers all the bases! We have special plates and cups for the kiddos, and you’ll find a separate set of plastic dishes and grill tools so you can fire up the rooftop grill for a summer cookout! We also provide a coffee and tea cabinet with ground coffee, a coffee maker, black and herbal teas, and a selection of flavored creamers. We’ve got you covered on amenities! Each bathroom is ready for all your needs with a blow dryer, towels, makeup washcloths, soaps and shower supplies. You’ll also find extra amenities like an in-suite-washer-dryer, pack-and-play, and iron/ironing board. Don’t miss the shared rooftop deck, one of the highlights. As you drive up to the property, you can’t miss our stunningly eye-catching rooftop mural by Wyatt Grant. Enjoy it up close and personal while you sit around the firepit, “perched” high above the neighborhood (we couldn’t resist!) We are a fully accessible property, so you can access your suite seamlessly via elevator from the ground floor up to your suite. We offer parking on-site, which is shared with the retail space on our ground floor. Self-check in is easy with our keyless lock systems. We’ll message you ahead of time with your unique lock code, changed between guests every time for your security.

Other Details to Note

*It is very common to see black bears around Asheville, and the occasional bear has been spotted at the property. Please be aware and watch out for bears!* To keep the property secure, we are equipped with five security cameras at the exterior doors, including at all exterior entrances and on the roof deck. The cameras are ONLY on the exterior, and there are no cameras on the inside. Keep in mind this suite shares a building with our other suites (the Heron, Sparrow, and Kingfisher), so you may see guests coming and going in the shared hallway off your unit or on the shared roof deck. Additionally, you will likely hear noises and footsteps from the roof deck above. Quiet hours are 10 PM to 8 AM, so you should not be disturbed by loud music or excessive noise during those hours. Two of our four suites are pet-friendly, so you may see pets coming and going in the hallways and parking area, and you might hear a bark or two! Pets are required to be leashed in common spaces at all times, and pets are not allowed on the rooftop deck. The hot water comes from on-demand hot water tanks, so it takes a little while to heat up.

Second time staying at the Finch and will return again. This condo is extremely safe, private, and well located. You’ll be near some fabulous restaurants and bars, and you will find the neighborhood to be walkable, clean, friendly and fun. There are many great places for coffee, lunch, dinner or cocktails all within a few minutes walk or a quick drive. The apartment itself is well appointed, clean, spacious and modern. It is quiet and sunlit, making for a relaxing stay. If you are looking for a great place, close to everything, this is your spot.

This Asheville apartment exceeded our expectations in every way! The location was perfect—so close to downtown and easy to walk or drive to everything we wanted to see and do. The space was spotless, beautifully maintained, and clearly well cared for. It was also very well stocked with thoughtful touches that made our stay comfortable and easy. The apartment felt welcoming and relaxing, and it truly felt like a home away from home. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and would absolutely book here again. Highly recommend!

Very nice place... super spacious and clean and modern. Walkable to restaurants and grocery stores. Easy to cook dinner. Easy ride to the Biltmire, Arts District and plenty of hiking places. Even has the Greenbelt behind it. Would love to come back in warmer weather to check out the deck.

Very walkable but also an easy uber to everything. Loved drinking my coffee on the rooftop. The place was very comfortable and clean. Large windows and a nice bright space. We would definitely stay again next time we’re in town!
